Bat & Box does not collect anything about you. There is no account, no login, no email address, no analytics, no advertising identifier, no tracking, and no third-party SDK of any kind in the app.
One thing: which club's colours you chose in Settings. It stays on your iPhone, is readable only by this app, and is deleted when you delete the app.
The app also caches box scores you have already opened, so they appear instantly and work without a connection. That is ordinary iOS URL caching, and it is likewise local to your device.
When you open a day of baseball, the app asks our server for that day's games. The request carries the date you asked for and nothing about you.
Our server records ordinary web request logs — an IP address, a timestamp, a path — used only to keep the service running and to spot abuse. They are not used to build a profile, are not linked to any identity, are not sold, and are not shared.
Historical games come from Retrosheet. Current-season scores come from a public MLB stats endpoint. Neither receives any information about you: your app talks to our server, and our server fetches baseball.
The app is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. Because it collects nothing, it collects nothing about children either.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
